Will shame follow you to the grave
having guilt on your name
unclean sinful before the Lord
resurrected in shame

to stand alone without a plea
God shall call up the dead
to face the judgment seat of Christ
in overwhelming dread

where the damned shall bow on knees
confessing Christ is Lord
God gives them understanding minds
how justice is assured

before He casts them in the fire
everyone can then see
rejecting Christ was their downfall
a choice they made so free
____
a horrible way to meet God
no salvation of souls
those choices made by man’s free will
no hope that can console
____
thus God is compelled by His word
punishing those in sin
on that great and terrible day
when holiness shall win
____
are you prepared to meet your God
with joy or quaking fear
for you must choose upon this day
which way your heart will veer
